High-sensitivity cardiac troponin and C-reactive protein dynamics after cardiac electrophysiological procedures

چکیده
The catheter ablation of cardiac arrhythmias causes myocardial destruction and increase the troponin C-reactive protein (CRP). Data regarding dynamics high-sensitivity during irrigated are scarce, for diagnostic electrophysiological studies (EPS) lacking. We aimed to study periprocedural I (hscTn I) CRP, as well their relation different procedural parameters EPS various arrhythmias. Material methods: Consecutive patients with or performed were studied prospectively. Clinical characteristics, pre- postprocedural values hscTn CRP presented at days 1, 2 3. Six indices chosen markers induced injury. P-value < 0.05 was accepted statistically signifi cant all tests performed. Results: Eight 98 ablations in 103 (58 males, 56.3%). For baseline day 1 3.2 ng/L (1.7-4.93), while 3 500 (269-1044) 404 (179-1017), р days. Postprocedural moderately strongly correlated radiofrequency (RF) energy, time number RF applications. also significant, but its magnitude much smaller. Its correlation weak. 5.95 ± 5.34 (0.6-15.9), next these 53.2 43.1 (13.3-144) и 16.7 9.65 (3.3-30.9), Conclusion: Signifi detected electrophysiology procedures – ablations. This more pronounced prolonged least after ablation. It clearly cumulative Early cant, a lesser weak parameters.

Bösner and colleagues have presented evidence for a simple rule for ruling out coronary artery disease in the primary care setting. Recent evidence has shown that inflammation plays a pivotal role in the inception and progression of atherosclerosis, and population studies have demonstrated a strong and independent association between baseline concentrations of inflammatory biomarkers and future coronary events. Because the majority of individuals who develop coronary events are not in a high-risk group according to the Fram...

BACKGROUND The diagnosis of hypertension is often preceded by cardiac structural abnormalities. Thus, we assessed whether high-sensitivity cardiac troponin T (hs-cTnT), a marker of subclinical myocardial damage, can identify individuals at risk for hypertension or left ventricular hypertrophy. METHODS AND RESULTS We studied 6516 Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) Study participants wh...

Articles in The New England Journal of Medicine get tremendous publicity, some justified and some not. Recently, 2 articles and an editorial (1–3 ) were published about the use of “high-sensitivity” cardiac troponin (cTn). These articles are welcome because they emphasize important concepts for clinicians. Some aspects, however, require clarification. Here we examine these articles and separate...
